8-Channel Remote Control Instructions

1-Channel: Differential Speed Direction

Explanation: Flapping the left and right wings at different speeds to achieve turning flight.

 

2-Channel: Lift Control

Explanation: Perform flapping motions along the up-and-down cycle. After holding the body of the bionic butterfly and applying throttle, pulling the right stick during the downward cycle increases thrust, causing the aircraft to pitch up. Note the forward/reverse configuration.

 

3-Channel: Throttle

Explanation: A linear change in flapping speed, where greater throttle results in higher speed.

 

4-Channel: (Currently locked, no function)

 

5-Channel: Amplitude

Adjusting the travel range at the upper and lower end points of the throttle lever: the greater the adjustment value, the larger the swing amplitude, and the higher the speed will be.

 

6-Channel: Sensitivity Fine-Tuning (Right knob on the remote control)

Explanation: Left/right wing sensitivity, designed for free flight operation. Dynamic attitude is not visible. During flight, it significantly improves lateral deviation (eccentric force). This channel was originally designed to assist in adjusting yaw issues (with priority given to straight-line performance), resulting in a more elegant flight posture, enhanced biomimetic characteristics, and a more user-friendly flying experience. In a well-ventilated indoor environment, the left/right position of the 6th channel can be adjusted to enable semi-automated, stable circular flight.

Bionic butterflies are more sensitive than other aircraft: differences in torque and speed between new and old servos become more pronounced due to the butterfly's larger wing area. If significant flight deviations occur, adjustments must be made using the 6th channel.

One remote control operates one butterfly.

We recommend that a continuous flight time of 20–30 minutes is appropriate for a single Butterfly, in order to prevent the Butterfly’s chip from overheating.

At present, the LED strips are only available in white. Please bear with us whilst we work on making them available in other colours.
